Win/win for kids
Five young artists have won the rare honour of having their artwork printed on Christmas cups and napkins in the annual KidsCan Christmas Cup Art Competition run by The Coffee Club. This year, there's an extra twist to the annual competition with well-known personalities and sports stars also creating their own festive designs to be auctioned on Trade Me. An alliance between Pizza Hut and Toyota in the US has resulted in a computer guided, hydrogen fuelled robotic mobile pizza kitchen which can cook, box and deliver a pizza in around seven minutes flat.
Hell is to stop home-delivering fireworks from 2019. Fireworks week has delivered record sales for the company for the past three years but Hell has pulled the plug following increasing public concern and negative feedback about fireworks in general.
A Quebec father has launched a class-action lawsuit against McDonald's, alleging the company's Happy Meals break strict provincial laws against advertising to children. Restaurant operators in the USA are being encouraged to demand better contracts from their beverage suppliers so they can adapt to rapidly-changing consumer preferences for new 'better for you' drinks.
